Introduction
This blog will cover the process I took when filming a music video for a local band. It will start off with music videos that I like and inspired me; the ideas I took from the videos, how I experimented and developed them further and finally the music video itself and how well particular elements worked together.
Below are the first steps I took to generate ideas for the video:
- YouTube – watch new music videos, videos I already like – find out/look out for why I like them…what makes them work/visually interesting???
- Up the amount of time I spend watching music channels on Freeview, as this will be the best place to see new videos in brilliant quality
- Everything that I like/sticks out, write it down
